Backend PHP Integrations Engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks

We are looking for a Backend PHP Engineer to help build and maintain omnichannel integrations, ensuring seamless data flow across our e-commerce platform, ERP, warehouse, marketplaces, and other key business systems. This role will play a crucial part in optimizing and scaling our integration landscape.


  • Develop, maintain, and optimize integrations between our webshop, ERP, warehouse, marketplaces, and other critical systems

  • Implement and work with event-driven architectures to enable asynchronous and decoupled system interactions

  • Work with APIs, webhooks, and message queues to facilitate real-time data exchange

  • Apply contract testing to ensure seamless communication between services

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to understand integration requirements and improve workflows

  • Contribute to architectural decisions and propose improvements for long-term maintainability

  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to maintain smooth business operations

Your profile

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with modern PHP, including Symfony

  • Experience with e-commerce integrations, e.g., ERP, warehouse management, EDI

  • Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL preferred) and data synchronization patterns

  • Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous programming (e.g., message queues, event sourcing)

  • Familiarity with contract testing and API validation tools to ensure robust integrations

  • Experience working with third-party APIs, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and webhooks

  • Fluent English communication skills, German is a plus but not mandatory

  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and performance
